What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine involving techniques such as; massage, stretching, joint manipulation and articulation, dry needling and cupping.

What to expect in an Osteopathy consult.
Clinical history
Your Osteopath will take a thorough clinical history, which will include discussing your complaint, as well as any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries, and any other lifestyle factors that may be influencing your condition.
Assessment
Your Osteopath will then perform physical assessments, including posture, range of motion, strength, and any special tests that may be relevant to your presenting complaint. This assessment allows us to understand and diagnose your condition and create an appropriate treatment plan.
Treatment
Osteopaths use a variety of treatment techniques including: massage, stretching, joint manipulation and articulation, cupping, dry needling and exercise rehabilitation. The techniques performed by your Osteopath will depend on your specific presentation, goals and preferences.
Education
We will discuss your injury including diagnosis, prognosis and our suggested treatment, to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of your condition on and the best ways to manage it. We will work with you to create an appropriate management plan based on your specific health goals.
Exercise rehabilitation
Depending on your injury and goals, we may provide you with a few simple home exercises or a comprehensive rehab plan. We also offer Clinical Pilates, which is great for anyone who finds it hard to exercise at home, or those that need more support and guidance with their rehab.
